Length of Treatment

Braces may be on between 6 to 30 months or longer depending on the age of the patient, the severity of the problem, the patient's cooperation, and the degree of movement needed. After the braces are removed, there is a year-long retention phase, which is included in the treatment fee. Retention includes semi-permanent or fixed upper jaw and lower arch retainers as well as an upper removable retainer. There is a fee for replacement of broken retainers. After one year, there will be a nominal fee for any repairs or maintenance that may be required.
